The Lord Howe Island Golden Whistler is endemic to the Island. These tiny birds hop from branch to branch looking for insects, spiders and insect larvae and live in the native subtropical rainforest. It has been listed as vulnerable, with their population estimated at only 1,000 breeding pairs.
